When someone in the business of politics wants to shrink his potential marketplace of voters/customers, ask why he’s in the business, in the first place.

The invocation of God is the dying breath of a losing argument. "Rights from God" are, as George Carlin put it, civic superstitions. God "gave us" the right to keep and bear arms, but happened to overlook slavery, discrimination, etc.? Doesn't sound like divine planning to us.
