A1: one part that stood out to me was moving past the thinking of “this is what we’ve always done”I feel that this can be detrimental to the growth of students. Educators should be able to adapt and create new more effiencet ways to teach students the way they need to be taught.

A2: one thing I might do in my future classroom is taking risks myself. If students see that their teacher is taking risks and trying new things they will be likely to follow. I will also set the example of how to positively respond to “failiures”.

Hello! My name is Leah and I am a college student studying education. I am currently taking a class all about technology for teachers and would love to learn as much as I can before entering the classroom! #ARVRinEDU @ED350_WCDE

A1: Twitter was the number one recommendation from my professor and I also think it’s quick and easy to see the questions and respond to people. I also like how there are so many different chats with a lot of perspectives from around the world. @ED350_WCDE #edtechchat

A4: With Twitter having a character limit I typically get small bits of information like a link to resource for example. From there I can look into the resource myself and discover more about it. @ED350_WCDE #edtechchat

A5: I feel like people should really try everything they can and see what they like. I used to hate twitter and hadn’t had one in years but I will definitely be keeping my account and doing these chats after the semester because they have taught me a lot. #edtechchat @ED350_WCDE

A1:In my classroom I would want students to be engaged.I feel that as an educator I am expected to teach specific content. It’s my hope that by being engaged in the pre-selected content my students find something that interests them and they can explore that further. @ED350_WCDE

A1: When our SmartBoard allows Prezi presentations one minute but won’t the next. Definitely a ghost of some sort. #edtechchat @ED350_WCDE

A3: One of my classmates recently did a presentation about her PLN using a Halloween themed template from Powtoon. It was spooky and awesome. #edtechchat @ED350_WCDE

A4: I love my online textbook! It’s so much easier to find the information I’m looking for. Everything is at the click of a button vs. the flipping of pages. It also saved me money #edtechchat

A6: Not me personally but Aundrea Ayers, remember when you couldn’t figure out how to delete that FlipGrid that was supposed to be a response but wasn’t😂 #edtechchat

A2: I think of a learning space as somewhere where I can be productive. That can be setting where things are super organized or relaxing at home reading or doing homework. @ED350_WCDE #edtechchat

A3: empowering students in the classroom is so important. As educators we understand that different people need different tools. We need to make sure kids understand that they may work better in a different space than their peers and do our best to provide that space #edtechchat
