Our kiddo, at Crested Butte, blurts out: “This place is too busy, too vibrant, too successful. What do you think town elders sacrifice here each year? Infants or virgins?”

Kiddo, upon seeing this pass in Gunnison County: “So, Colorado is like the Grand Teton National Park - except everywhere in Colorado is like the Grand Teton National Park.”

Me to kiddo: “Wanna watch a movie!” Kiddo: “You go watch a movie, dad. And I’ll be there with you.”

My kiddo, in a movie house, after seeing the size of the soda cup: “Medium! Look at that size! God bless America!”

How did this boy grow up so fast? I reckon I only have two years before he starts not wanting to hang out with his old man. For now, though, we’ll spend every weekend fly fishing.
