*LAMU PHASE3 STREET LIGHTING PROJECT SCHEDULED TO START SOON: Phase 1 targeted 19 locations where 583 LEDs & 6 flood lights were installed. Phase 2 targeted 28 locations with 852 LEDs installed. Phase 3 targets 27 locations.@

The Council of Governors today, held a consultative meeting with the Ministry of Health and National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) to discuss issues in the health sector including the Comprehensive medical Insurance for County Workers

Lamu Island street paving program. The streets & roads of the UNESCO accredited heritage site are undergoing a cabro and concrete paving refurbishment. Refurbishment involves stone packing, murraming and concrete surface reinforced with BRC A142 fabric.

The County has procured Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds to shore up its intensive care infrastructure. 2 ventilators, a monitor and oxygen cylinders also form part of the new consignment.
