The player of the night for Tuesday, July 22nd is Diego Cancel Otero!

The Rapids' bats exploded for 17 hits in a 13-5 win over the Horseheads Hitmen. Diego Cancel Otero (4-4, 2B, 3B and 4 RBI), Eli Huebner (3-4, HR, 3 R, and 2 RBI), and Gage Wheaton (3 2B and 3 R) led the way. On the mound, Max Wagar picked up the win (6 IP, 2 R ,4 H and 9 K).

Congratulations to the 2025 Rapids on capturing the NYCBL Western Division Regular Season Championship with their 13-5 win over the Horseheads Hitmen last night. This is the first regular season championship in the Rapids' 11 year history. The Rapids begin the playoffs July 26.

The player of the night for Saturday, July 26th is Braeden Dyck!

Scoring two in the bottom of the 8th, the Rapids came back to defeat Dansville 6-5. Troy Chamberlin (3-4, R, RBI), Eli Huebner (2-4, R, RBI), Rene Vega III (2-4, R, RBI) and Zachary Gibson (2-4) led the way. Lucas Alexander and Seth Cooper closed the game out again for Genesee.

NYCBL Championship schedule is set: Tuesday 7/29 at Genesee 6:30pm Wednesday 7/30 at Syracuse 4pm Wednesday 7/30 at Syracuse 7pm (if nec.)

The Rapids will host the Syracuse Salt Cats in Game 1 of the best of 3 Championship Series tomorrow night (July 29) at 6:30 PM at Houghton University. This is your last chance to see the 2025 Rapids in action at home. Games 2 and 3 (if needed) will be in Syracuse on Wednesday.

The Rapids host Game 1 of the NYCBL Championship Series tonight against the Syracuse Salt Cats at 6:30 PM. This is the Rapids' first ever appearance in the championship series. The Rapids and Salt Cats met split their DH this summer winning 16-4 and losing 5-4.

Tonight's game will also be streamed live on the NYCBL Digital Network. Admission for tonight's playoff game is the same as the regular season. Season ticket holders may show their pass for admission. This will be the last Rapids' home game for 2025.

The pitcher of the night for Tuesday, July 29th is Blake Bowman!

Genesee took a 1-0 NYCBL Championship Series lead over Syracuse with a 2-1 win last night. Blake Bowman (7 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 6 K) picked up the win. Seth Cooper (2 IP, 0 H, 1 R, 2 K) had the save. Gage Wheaton (2-5, 2B) and Braeden Dyck (2-3, R) led the way offensively.

Congratulations to Seth, Blake and Nathaniel for this honor. Seth was the league leader in saves (11) and had a 1.74 ERA (5th best in NYCBL). Blake was tied for the league lead in wins (5) and had 43 Ks (T-5 in NYCBL). Nathaniel was 3-1 with a 2.58 ERA and 30 Ks.

Congratulations to Braeden and Gage for this award. Braeden hit .343 this summer with 2 HR, 39 RBI (4th best in NYCBL), and 29 R. Gage was the league leader in HR (9) and batted .301 for the season. His 53 runs scored were first in the league and he had 26 RBI as well.
