Within the 10 years, agribusiness is expected to become a trillion-dollar industry. Africa’s small and medium sized agribusinesses and entrepreneurs have huge potential to feed Africa’s hungry, employ youth, and contribute to stronger, inclusive and equitable economies.

The process The result

We mobilise and organise Smallholders into Self Help Groups (Chamas), and increase their enterpreneural capabilities. We focus on groups that are intrested in agribusiness activities.

GALS seeks to work closely with rural farmers Self Help Groups (Chamas), extension systems, National Research Institutes, Champion farmers, county governments, and the private sector to achieve the following priority interventions:

Smallholders can be categorised on the basis of: (i) the agro-ecological zones in which they operate, (ii) the type and composition of their farm portfolio and landholding, (iii) the annual revenue they generare from farming activities. First we IDENTIFY their unique needs:

We mobilise SMALLHOLDERS intrested in a PROFITABLE Value Chain, and organise them in GROUPS. Then we offer them Proffessional GROUP DEVELOPMENT and BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Services, and Connect them to FINANCIAL SERVICES and MARKETS. Here is your Homework for the weekend:
