Scientists have also successfully built logic gates by using swarms of soldier crabs. It takes about 80 🦀 to operate a logic gate, and there are 8 logic gates in a byte, so 640,000 crabs can be used to store a single tweet. Which seems kind of horrifying. 🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀

Comcast’s equipment must be situated near a black hole because 2h of downtime on their end can be anything between 2h and 16 years from my POV.

I'm losing out on some of the efficiency gains from Copilot because every time it suggests something freakishly good, I spend 5 minutes losing my mind over how good it is

Given that it's a slow news day, check out some great insights from Kiril Kafadarov and Munir Al-Dajani Color about our process for evaluating LLMs in Cancer Care. The irony isn't lost on me that most of the toolchain is from Google except the actual LLM. color.com/blog/evaluatin…

Common SWE advice in practice: Don't make tooling decisions until you actually need to. We deferred our vector search/RAG details enough that we eventually landed on an alternative architecture that gives us more control and (in our case) higher accuracy. Details in the paper 👇
