Addiction to sport. Hockey Fanatic. I mainly just pretend I know what I’m talking about and re-tweet sports drills so I can use them later. Aus🇦🇺

Fun!! Might throw this in the u14/16 session this Friday. Maybe the seniors too. Be interesting to note some differences

Wonder if this would work for Hockey. I mean, or you could just do this anyway regardless of sport. Most people can kick a ball….

Considerations for this type of thing I’ve found are: 1) if they start doing it well, change it. 2: make passes longer than you “think”. Encourage a hard few steps of ball carrying. 3: after first progression, ask them if it’s working. They will tell you.

This could work for Hockey! I feel this is an advanced level game. Thinking you play for periods of time, keep score. Not an easy one, but another twist on multi-directional play.

Done something similar - the 4 outside goals were gates and dribbling through them let you attack the two central, back to back goals. 7v7 in a half pitch. Worked ok.

Tried these types a few times. Never quite got it right but I’ll keep trying! The evenness of the teams was always a big factor

1v1s are fun. Blah blah, yes they’re statistically poor ect but so many great moments or games are decided on 1v1 finishing moments

🥅 Goalscoring: Get in Front 2 forwards in circle, feeders call cone → lead & shoot, partner hunts rebounds. Prog: each cone = diff finish (roll & flick, reverse, FH, backspace). Focus: sharp leads, body shape to receive, quick release, react to 2nd phase. #Hockey
