Mixtures and Solutions Lab, Realistic Fiction writing, and student led FANBOY chants to learn our conjunctions when using compound sentences. It was a fun and engaging week of learning! #ACECubs

Today we celebrated our read aloud for our Interpreting Characters unit, The Tiger Rising. We talked about items of symbolism from the book, reviewed the plot and characters through an Escape Room, and practiced our whittling skills. #AceCubs

We see light!💡Working with open and closed circuits and testing objects to see if they conduct electricity in Science. #ACECubs

We celebrated our first opinion composition over a personal collection by having a gallery walk. Students were able to read their classmates papers and leave them compliments. So many great words of encouragement! #ACECubs

In Texas History, we learned about the letters William B. Travis wrote during the Siege of the Alamo asking for reinforcements. Today the students got to see what it was like to write with a quill pen, which Travis used to write the letters. #ACECubs

This week we created a water cycle in a jar in Science. The kids loved watching the process, and there were a lot of great conversations about their observations. In Math, we used fraction blocks to find equivalent fractions. #ACECubs

Today Texas History was all about the Alamo. #ACECubs

We had a lot of fun reviewing for our Fraction test at our Fraction Fiesta! #ACECubs

Today we drafted and published short constructed responses over biographies we’ve read in class this week. The kids loved reading about two athletes that play and have played in Houston. 🇨🇱 ⚾️ 🏈 #ACECubs

It was a fun and engaging day in 4th Grade Science. Students set up habitats for their mealworms, observed them, and had great discussions. #ACECubs
