Today OIC and Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development signed a landmark Grant Agreement for promoting science/technology, health, education in Africa. It was signed at the Fund’s Headquarters in Kuwait City. It’s indeed manifestation of commitment and support of Kuwait to OIC.

Met with DG UNIDO H. E. Gerd Müller. Discussed opportunities for collaboration and partnership between OIC and UNIDO particularly for promoting technology and innovation to address multitudnal challenges relating to water, climate change and other areas in the OIC Member States.

A privilege to represent OIC at IAEA’s 69th GC in Vienna. I reaffirmed OIC’s steadfast commitment to the peaceful uses of nuclear technology and strong partnership with IAEA. IAEA’s dedication to technical cooperation and capacity building is commendable.

Enriching experience to address conference on “Climate, Health, Faith: Understanding Science, Building Trust” organized by Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies and The British Academy. Emphasized that faith can play enabling role in addressing climate change and impacts on health.

An honour to meet Foreign Minister of Niger H.E. Mr. Bakary Yaou Sangaré. Had very enriching & fruitful discussion regarding strengthening of Niger’s partnership with OIC in education, health, science and technology, and particularly support to OIC’s university in Niger (IUN).

Met Honourable Minister of Education, Technical and Vocational Training of Niger Prof. Formo Moumiuni. Had focused discussions on capacity building of youth equipping them with skills in health and science & technology. The presence of senior officials added value to discussions.
