A1. #NPSDchat In a survey to students, kids said they liked quizizz and edpuzzle! So I’m hoping to create appropriate questions on those platforms to see what they know!

A2. #NPSDchat I love using the data as an intro/bellwork conversation starter for the next day!! High energy and relevant intro activities are my fav 👍🏼

A3. #NPSDchat reading offers so many opportunities for students to draw connections from the texts to their lives! Connections make their learning more meaningful and personalized 📚📒

A4. #NPSDchat Give open ended directions for projects that tell students the expectations for the end goal! That way they can decide how they get there and what they do 😊 tip: checklists, and samples help for students with modifications and accommodations!

A1. One that students can actually apply to their everyday lives 😎 When students can transfer the skills&knowledge they learned from the classroom to their life it becomes much more meaningful to them. #NPSDchat (also eliminates the "when will I ever use this" question! haha)

A2. ENERGY & EXCITEMENT from the teacher🤩If students see your genuine enthusiasm about a topic/subject, they will feel more empowered to replicate it and learn from you because it seems like something fun that they want to be a part of! #NPSDchat

A3. Encourage students to apply what they learned to another situation or moment in their lives! This calls for options and flexibility on the teacher's end so that students have various ways to show what they learned! #NPSDchat

A4. Provide students with opportunities to work with their peers, (some that are more competent and some that are less competent than they are) to learn from and teach each other. Students teaching students = teacher win 💙 #NPSDchat

A1. Feedforward seems like a great way to point out student strengths that they can use as their own model for correcting other parts of the assignment! Seeing their own work as the amazing "sample" could be so empowering! #npsdchat

A3. Teachers can share/present materials during PLC! Other teachers can act as students, so that we can learn what will and will not work with students before it even happens! #npsdchat

A4. If we don’t get too far ahead of ourselves with prepping materials, we can learn from our students what they need from us in a lesson! Future materials can mimic what we know will work for them! #learnfromstudents #npsdchat

A1. Lack of consistency in educational setting will be a challenge for Ss. Ts can guide them to find a clear & peaceful place to work, but we can’t provide one for them :( #NPSDCHAT

A2. Ts can help draw as many connections from curriculum to daily life as possible so that each student feels that what they are doing is important. Maybe project based learning?? ...Just a thought! 😊#npsdchat

A3. Chunk the lessons just like we chunk directions! (For secondary Ed) Whole group, small group, independent! Dividing the class time into 3 sections might increase student focus, engagement and learning! #NPSDChat

A4. Flexibility. Virtual learning is the safest option, but it might not the most ideal for all learners. Being flexible will help students find their balance between home and school... which now happen to occur at home. #NPSDChat
