#GlobalBirdRescue day 3. There have now been 65 birds rescued! These numbers will grow as participants continue to report collisions, but the weather may be impacting migration. In Ontario we are expecting the temperature to drop by the weekend, which may mean busier days.

Sixty four plants on the brink of extinction propagated at Ōtari Native Botanic Garden being collected by Department of Conservation rangers from Turangi for planting into the wild. This wetland plant has declined dramatically in recent years. Only a few Juncus holoschoenus remain in the wild
