If we were in the middle of a nuclear apocalypse some of y’all would still be worried about “maintaining rigor” and “grade inflation.” Grades aren’t real, and students are people. Let’s get our priorities in order.

From an awesome HS teacher friend: Seeking resources and/or experts to help students understand how neurochemistry impacts their consumption of information. 11th grade superstars would welcome articles and/or chats with scientists as they learn how to process news.

My absolute favorite is when students for whom I've written letters of recommendation follow up to let me know they've gotten a position/been accepted/etc! 🤩 It means SO much.

Submitted two 'concern about a student' forms today, as it's the time of the semester when some of them seem to start disappearing. So hard when you're worried about a student but have a hard time getting in touch with them! 💜 Sending support to all the struggling students.
