Thank you BCEdAccess for always clarifying and following up with the inclusion of all kids with disabilities, when these sorts of announcements are made.

How many times will it need to be said, this effects ALL disabilities. This is not just an autism funding conversation. The Down syndrome community has shared how devastating these changes will be, yet they continue to be absent from rooms where these talks take place.

The lack of punishment for the death of Florence sends a message to families that the life of a person with Down syndrome, doesn’t matter. We want an appeal.

This entire thread from Nina Tame 👩🏻‍🦽 is so important. Kids with disabilities deserve access to funding for support, health care and programs everyday. From our government. Not from telethons that promote that same access as a gift.

DSBC is pleased Premier Eby recognizes the importance of autonomy + specialized support Individualized Funding gives to families who receive it. We ask David Eby to listen to all voices in the disability community + make IF available to every child who has gone without. #bcpoli

The reliability of how consistently the Down syndrome community is ignored is like clockwork. Our Govt just did it again… #bcpoli

I simply can’t find the words. The loss of Arley McNeney (Cruthers) is devastating to the core. She was a powerful educator & advocate who helped bring disabled kids & families together with our Adaptive Soccer team. I want to say so much more - but tonight I am just heartbroken.

Thank you for sharing our story. I didn’t have the energy or heart to do it, and I’m thankful when others step up and take on the advocating on our behalf. Jeff #DisabilityTwitter
