One year ago, the WGA writer strike ended. It’s no secret the industry is still slow, but this is NOT because of the strikes. It’s because the streaming bubble burst. The Guilds saw what was coming and members took action — not to save all jobs — but to protect future ones.

If you’re celebrating this…grow up. People losing jobs in a time where jobs are scarce isn’t fun, and this impacts more people than you’d think, globally. It’s artists in the US, Canada, India, etc trying to survive on corporate scraps.

I’m going to be doing two talks and demos this weekend at Phoenix Animation Expo! One of them will be on how to teach yourself storyboarding from movies and TV shows and I’ll be doing a demo on reverse boarding. I whipped these up today for that talk lol. Come check it out!
