We're also excited for Canvas to become a more personalized tutor that you can interact in much richer ways. You can ask ChatGPT to explain some mathematical concept, write code to plot that will help you learn it in a more visual way.

1/5 Excited that our paper on "deliberative alignment" came out as part of 12 days of @openai! By teaching reasoning models the text of our specifications, and how to reason about them in context, we obtain significantly better robustness while also reducing over refusals. 🧵

Safety is a core focus of our open-weight model’s development, from pre-training to release. While open models bring unique challenges, we’re guided by our Preparedness Framework and will not release models we believe pose catastrophic risks.

one of my favorite early memories at openai is dselsam walking by a cramped meeting room where we were working through one of his write-ups (I may or may not have looked quite confused), and popping in to deliver what i would call a sermon (because it was a religious experience)

Hello tweeter. I’ll be in Vancouver for an indeterminate amount of time! I have no friends there so would be excited about meeting new people :) Hopefully will return home sometime this year but if not shall make the best of it.

want to add that OpenAI has been incredibly supportive during this kerfuffle. initial application was filed almost 3! years! ago before my time here - really sucks to get denied after waiting for so long and unable to return home, but all in all feel very lucky to be where i am

Introducing the Safety Evaluations Hub—a resource to explore safety results for our models. While system cards share safety metrics at launch, the Hub will be updated periodically as part of our efforts to communicate proactively about safety. openai.com/safety/evaluat…
