The psychological difference between zero acts of creation and one act of creation, no matter how small, is impossible to overstate. If you’re lucky, sometimes that one idea, one sentence, or one shitty first draft can turn into something bigger.

You can tell when somebody’s writing from the heart because the ideas are singular. The stories sizzle. The words twinkle. But once fear kicks in, people retreat to the safety of repackaged ideas and their writing loses its edge. It’s not that people can’t write from the heart.

Inspired by the famous "Dry January" and marathon workout plans, I considered the role explicit frameworks play in reducing decision-making fatigue and helping our future selves. This time it's related to tech use. Check out "Empty February" here: open.substack.com/pub/cognitivec…

AI (if shown to be reasonably unbiased) is going to have an interesting impact in the sense that people will have to respond to the argument/answer itself as opposed to the person who made it. This makes it harder to outright reject an idea without processing it due to origin.

Wish I could train my "For You" feed on X like a proper algorithm. Too much slop, not enough signal. I’m not looking for a TikTok-style feed. I want relevance, depth, and discovery. Let me rate, filter, and tune it with ease. Elon Musk X Engineering

One day, rows of desks in a gym might feel as strange as student-teacher smoking rooms. This is the first piece in a new project, "This Could Be Better", where I explore school, systems, tech, and the ways we live, learn, and grow in today's world. thiscouldbebetter.substack.com/p/introducing-…
