Struggle with a low release point? Sometimes simply starting the ball at a higher position will allow us to move it to the top of the shot easier! Shorten the path and raise the floor & ceiling.

It’s so interesting because Derozan is like the last of the line of the 2000’s era hoopers. I wish he figured out his 3-ball Only 2 guards since in the last 40 years have scored 20+ PGG while shooting under 30% from 3PT… Dwayne Wade & DeMar DeRozan

Don’t Break The Glass! When the ball goes behind the face (and toes), it’s moving in the opposite direction of the basket. Now it has to change direction again and restart its momentum to move with force towards the basket. Not to mention, we’re giving ourselves a different

Your offense is defined by your TRANSITION philosophy, not by your HALF COURT strategy. When mapping your offensive structure for your team, break it down into this FLOW: Primary > Secondary> Half Court > EOC Most coaches spend the majority of their tactical work on half

“Cut the fluff” “Eliminate extra variables” “Simplify the complex” “Trim the fat” All extremely valuable words in improving shooting mechanics All extremely valuable in general!

5 Analytic Metrics that can supercharge your offense ⚡️ • >1PPP, +10 Possessions over Avg. • 3 Point Rate >45% • Transition Rate >30% • O Rebound Rate >25% • Paint 3 Ratio >50% Increase the amount of possessions in a game to increase scoring opportunities as the better

Notice he is using percentage rates. Whole numbers are obsolete. “Under 12 Turnovers” is an inefficient way to measure because it’s a relative number. 12 turnovers on 100 Possessions is great (12% TO Rate). 12 turnovers on 60 Possessions is not great (20% TO Rate).

Rebounding analytics and scheme We know that shooting ~ 33% from 3 is the same as shooting 50% from 2. But not all 2 point FGs are created equally, obviously. Below is the offensive rebound rate for various shot types (Sloan Sports Conference). **Rebound % > Total
