$240m for women’s workforce participation. I can’t even... Clearly it’s time to get out the annual reminder on how much Australia spends on school chaplain participation. #Auspol #budget2020 Women's Agenda

Welcoming the inclusion of $7.6 million for parents experiencing stillborn babies or the death of a child under 12 months of age. Employers also need to play their part by ensuring access to paid leave for parents who experience #stillbirth or the death of a child #budget2020

Was I the only person hoping to see funding for a national anti-racism strategy in tonight's budget? Disappointing not to see greater acknowledgement of the experience of racism or increased funding for refugee, asylum seeker and migrant services. #budget2020

‘Buying a truck is one way of increasing productivity. Hiring a childcare worker not only provides a job, but frees up another person to do another job. Why doesn't this ever seem to enter the equation?’ Annabel Crabb #ShareTheLoad

50% (min) of the 1M new jobs in last night's budget need to be for women. Given the industries those jobs are in, and the lack of spending on childcare, seems unlikely. It is going to be very important to ensure industries where spending is committed set gender hiring targets.

Fantastic to see increased investment in in-home care & improving standards & quality of residential #agedcare . But we mustn't forget older workers who, like young workers are disproportionately impacted by #COVID19 & have less access to re-skilling and other employment programs

Today the Australian Parliament acknowledged that all is not ok. Strong action is needed to restore dignity and respect. The review into culture to be led by Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins is critical. I fully support the Review. #ThankYouBrittany #LetHerSpeak

Privilege to be part of @UNWomenAust #IWD2021 in Bris today. You could hear a pin drop listening to #GraceTame and then Kirstin Ferguson and #ShelleyCable ensured that no one was left with any doubt that more action needed to ensure workplaces and communities were #safe and equal

The brilliant Kate Jenkins speaking about the role of bystanders & the difference between noticing sexual harassment & doing something about it. Talk openly about #sexualharassment - before it happens, not only when it happens FW (Future Women) Jamila Rizvi #IWD2021

Poverty is the biggest barrier to education. $1.11 is all it costs to keep a girl in school for a day in Sub Saharan Africa. I am running in the #Bridge2Brisbane to raise money for CAMFED - Campaign for Female Education's One Million School Days campaign and would love your support - bridgetobrisbane.gofundraise.com.au/page/Julie-854…
