It all comes down to most humans' inability to hold two competing thought in one's had at the same time. Yes, 'artisanal art' has value AI can't replicate. Yet working, directing and curating with AI is still a creative expression in its own right. There's a place for both.

This guy gets it. We’ve been warning the artists who are supporting copyright lawsuits against AI that this is exactly what would happen. Instead of democratization of opportunities for everyone we’ll get more centralization and power for media houses. A disaster.

I truly believe the exact opposite is true. Knowledge that was once locked in niche languages and oral tradition can now become part of the shared cultural knowledge corpus of humankind, and made discoverable & actionable for audiences who previously would never had access.
