So, I feel some people need to hear this: If a game has a definitive ending (and maybe some post-game stuff), then when content updates stop, the game isn't 'dead' or 'abandoned'. It just means it's finished. Games aren't meant to grow forever.

Struggled hard with impostor syndrome for a few weeks (but it's getting better now!) so progress was sloooow. Always happens when doing house sprites, as they don't look right until fully finished... #citybuilder #wip #indiedev #pixelart

Laysara Summit Kingdom is beautiful. Core puzzle is managing logistics across a mountain where different altitudes have different resources and yields. The camera controls and click-drag logistics go hard. Banger soundtrack. Satisfying to play. God tier city-builder IMO.

Good games really do just need time. It’s not so much about the work, it’s about the iterative process of refining each element over and over and over again.

How long!? Haven't had much showable progress lately, mainly mechanics + event faffing. But have a to-do-list to reach a demoable shape. Sometimes I tick of one point without adding 2 new ones! Sometimes... Started making markets more lively, for one. #citybuilder #indiedev

Year ending. Have some treatments next year, then I can hopefully regain some normality. Testing + poking at the project in the meantime. The "survival" mode is taking shape, and did some number tweaks (with unexpected bugs!) Slow, but still progress. #citybuilder #indiegame

RL has been wibbly-wobbly, but managing to faff along. Ended up making new treesprites, did more testing, added a loss condition and am slowly adding more useful stuff to building infos. Next, expanding on the "rulers", who add mods to each map, fun! #citybuilder #indiedev

Work dwindling, so decided to try to Finish A Game while I have idle time. (Still working on Lixtoco, slowly adding house sprites!) Chose a small (?) project, basically "Project Hospital doctor mode", but fantasy 80s. So far figuring out mechanics and moods. #indiedev #wip
