According to statistics. The WHO estimates that more than 10% of the African population has disabilities. Most persons are excluded. Why?

Knowing the problem is a step! Solving the problem is a step further. This can happen only when people take action.

A major cause to this problem is that: a lack of education and awareness plays a major role in exclusion of People Living With Disabilities.

A lack of information continues to widen the gap. How can #PwDs access information and education? #DisabilityRights

Maybe it is scary. Or due to the fear of the unknown. People don't know how to treat or relate to people living with disabilities.

Why do People Living with Disabilities face poverty (most are beggars), exacerbated diseases, crime & unemployment? #DisabilityRights #PWDs

Why are people Living with Disabilities not involve in governance or leadership? Policy making, implementation and revisions& implement?

PwDs do not want to be dependent on the social welfare grants or donations. They want to live well & contribute meaningfully to the economy.

What is wrong? Why is there a dearth of support, considering infrastructure and economic opportunities for #PwDs especially in #Africa?

When it comes to learning, how can we make education more accessible for children with visual, hearing & learning disabilities? #PwDs

Do you agree that people with Disabilities must not be forced to learn on their own. Shouldn't we Make institutions learner friendly? #PwDs

There is need to invest in specialised teaching methods and disability friendly learning institutions, taking advantage of technology. #PWDs
