In September, researchers and partners on a project investigating climate-driven changes to flood events and floodplain forests in the Upper Mississippi River gathered in the Lake Pepin area. Participants looked at floodplain forest development stages in the field.

Today we honored Cathy Jordan, Institute on the Environment UMN’s director of leadership and education, for her five years of service as a Institute on the Environment UMN leader, supervisor and mentor. She’ll be leaving us soon for a new role. We will miss her but also will make sure she stays part of our community!

We work toward a sustainable future by helping students learn skills & gain experiences to be effective innovators & leaders. A distinctive role for higher ed. And these students are so deserving of support! Please consider this worthy cause on Earth Day.
