I also panic a little when I think about this too hard. We are talking $200bn invested in a technology that HAS to make them money, it is their only idea, they have none left, except it's the least profitable enterprise software of all time.

Is it not worrying anyone that this is happening? That every single company in big tech HAS to have this work, and it is really looking like generative ai is neither useful nor profitable, and in fact is getting *less* profitable? And this is the only future they've got?
