With Opening Night, tonight was the #NYR worst effort of the season. A step slow, not as physically engaged and beaten in puck battles. Maybe the 6th game in 11 days caught up with them. Must be better Thu. v. SJ. The good news is that Igor remains ridiculously locked in.

When Sullivan talks after practice I bet we hear his favorite word again...balance. Raddysh to RW1 is not a longterm move. It's about temporarily sacrifice some top 6 skill for a more impactful 3rd line. That is what the Othmann call up & the Cuylee move was about #NYR.

tom bartosch Jeff Filippi Agree. I don’t hate but would rather see Othmann and Sheary swap. See what Othmann caan do playing with real NHLers on his line and give Laba some more experience along side him with sheary they looked good together in preseason

Sullivan was asked about the balance of the forward lines and he asked back to the press corps if they thought that it did. We may not like all of the particulars, but it was easy to see why the coaching staff made these changes.

Interesting. Maybe Trocheck won't be ready for Tue. as, if he was, they would already have a 13th F. Another player could also be banged up since I doubt he was called up to sit v. CAR on Tue. Good for Jaro. A big-bodied, mobile bottom 6er. #NYR
