I am heartbroken about the loss of my colleague Jenny Hampton in a tragic accident. She was one of those people who made you feel better every time you talked to her. I will miss her very much.

I'm thrilled to be watching the thesis defense of Hope History Dept alum @apiper626. I remember when she first found a census entry that has now evolved into a fascinating study about race, property, and the sexual economy of antebellum St. Louis. Great work Alex!
