Good Relations funding motions PASSED at BCC, LCCC and ANBC ✅🎉 Local Good Relations programmes are key for reconciliation and combatting intolerance, and Alliance is committed to seeing them recognised as such and funded appropriately 👏

Really glad Cllr Billy Webb & Julie Gilmour tabled this at Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council It contains actions rather than just words, including a comprehensive review of current inclusion policy & programmes There are lots that local councils can do to make our neighbourhoods safer & more welcoming💛

Attended a productive climate change workshop with Julie Gilmour Cllr Billy Webb, focusing on ANBC's obligations under the Climate Change Act. We're committed to reducing carbon emissions and planning for a sustainable future in Antrim & Newtownabbey. 🌍🌱 #ClimateAction

With Alliance Party colleagues, Cllr Julie Gilmour & Ald Ald Lewis Boyle, meeting with Police Antrim and Newtownabbey this afternoon. An opportunity to meet the new District Superintendent & members of the management team to discuss recent racist hate incidents in our area & other local issues.

An exciting development that will see benefits well beyond Belfast city and into areas such as Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council Let’s get this online, then get Knockmore online and finally a fully operational circle line service 🚊 ♻️

There are two versions of the future in front of us Either we make *existing* roads better with dualling, bridges & tunnels OR We connect communities to new rail infrastructure, change our use of public space & make travel active again We cannot have both 💸

“Successive DUP Economy ministers were allowed to run roughshod over plans to expand Magee…[diverting] £120m to Coleraine and Ballymena” When you see it in black and white like that it’s incredible. The dept of “divvy up”

As a representative of a rural area, just east of the Bann & within the Belfast commuter belt - I recognise that when our cities thrive we all prosper That’s why I continue to fight for sustainable transport options so that residents can work, learn & socialise in our cities 🌇

After the reply I received from the FM & dFM to my question on the publication of the Environmental Improvement Plan, I put a similar question to DAERA Minister Andrew Muir MLA yesterday, who confirmed that he is still seeking Executive approval for the legally required Plan

If true this poses a significant threat to capital programmes where investment has already been made or is under way. As a member of the Belfast city deal panel for ANBC, this is extremely concerning. These projects are about the future of our economy & long term strategy

"The biggest barriers to green growth in NI are political will and resistance to change,” says John Blair MLA. The environmental crisis is something we can no longer ignore. Radical change is essential to ensure NI is no longer left behind and develops a green economy.🍃
