5–वेतालभट्ट – विक्रम और वेताल की कहानी जगतप्रसिद्ध है। ‘वेताल पंचविंशति’ के रचयिता यही थे, किन्तु कहीं भी इनका नाम देखने सुनने को अब नहीं मिलता। ‘वेताल-पच्चीसी’ से ही यह सिद्ध होता है कि सम्राट विक्रम के वर्चस्व से वेतालभट्ट कितने प्रभावित थे। यही इनकी एक मात्र रचना उपलब्ध है।
