I find it astonishing that this country is considering legislation that make it free for corporations to train machines with the same data that we charge young people to learn in university.

As long ago as 2004 our dev team at Fotango of all places, made the decision to have any line of source code we relied upon above libc checked into our own version control. I still feel like this was a sensible move.
