I had the immense pleasure of working on the funding bid for this 3 year arts investment of £1m to Ashfield. So incredibly proud of living and working across the Midlands and being able to support communities and arts development.

Not sure who needs to hear this but… You don’t need to be at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, live in London, have won awards, be associates at venues or have been awarded funding to be brilliant theatre makers. Making your work and showing it to audiences, that’s success.

A big project I‘ve been developing is emerging into the world! Starting with Nottingham folk nominating their LGBTQ+ Heroes to be photographed for a new exhibition as part of a new LGBTQ+ festival coming later this year to the city… 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🎉

It’s frustrating that this is normal practice but got a funding rejection for a substantial project. First thing I do? Cut my fee. Protecting other artists salaries is a priority for producers but who looks out for the producers?

Beyond thrilled that we‘ve announced the theatre lineup for this little queer festival I‘ve been plugging away at. Only 9 shows and a partnership with a major producing house… 😅

Today was a special day. Got my first ever car and got to drive independently for the first time. Didn‘t think I would ever drive and so glad I had such encouragement from the boyfriend and family to pursue this. I did it. 🚗

Can’t quite believe it’s here but tomorrow JOP Arts kicks off our 2 week LGBTQ+ arts festival in Nottingham Queer Up Duck!. What started as a little idea of mine has flourished into events, shows, exhibitions, parties, drag, music & so much more! Eeee!

Tonight we screened the film Weekend as part of Queer Up Duck! at Broadway Cinema and I got to introduce the film. That’s a first for me!
