Yesterday, H.E. Janet Alberda met with a delegation from Air France-KLM Group in Baghdad. During the meeting, the Ambassador expressed her appreciation for the longstanding presence and dedication of Dutch companies, like KLM, operating in #Iraq

It was also encouraging to note the constructive and growing relationship between Air France-KLM and Iraqi Airways regarding maintenance and repair— a positive example of international cooperation in the aviation sector.

On 4 May we commemorate all civilians and soldiers who lost their lives in war & peace since WWII. At 8 pm NL time we observe 2 minutes of silence to honor their sacrifice & reflect on the importance of freedom & peace, in particular now #lightsfromGaza

Today marks eleven years since ISIS started its genocide against the Yazidis. The Embassy in Iraq commemorates the thousands that were murdered and kidnapped. The Netherlands remains committed to achieving justice and accountability for the victims and survivors.

Through our partners and with the Government of Iraq we work to help implement the Yazidi Survivors Law and facilitate psychological care, support for displaced persons to return and improved access to compensation.
