New The ISME Journal: microbial respiration is more closely linked to who's there (in the soil) than we thought. From Arctic to tropical soils, temperature sensitivity of bacterial growth varied w/ biodiversity. By Chao Wang Morrissey Lab Bruce Hungate nature.com/articles/s4139…
Don't stop the press! Our Journal of Applied Ecology paper is officially OUT. We showed that the different forestry actions (drainage, clear-cut) synergistically reduce stream biodiversity and cause loss of multiple functional traits, especially in small streams. besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.111…
Our Stream Ecology research group featured a video about northern rivers under change. Cheers University of Oulu Kvantum Institute & Jouko Inkeröinen for coordination ja NTRNZ media ltd for a superb-looking outcome! With this video, we wish happy Finnish Nature Day for everyone! youtu.be/yEZ9eo0kIC0
