“does riptide ever run out of ink?”

there are many sides to ash lynx- most forced out through the horrors that have formed him & the unrelenting world he is entangled in. but at his core he is so good. so gentle. someone who feeds squirrels in the park, or buries himself in library books. i love this side of him
fun fact, he didn’t actually say “i need to know he’s okay”, he said だめ which means broken/hopeless. he’s saying if eiji isn’t okay he’s broken/hopeless, which is why max makes that face. he’s realizing the degree to which ash’s happiness/stability hinges on eiji’s safety.
sans: hey, kiddo. i've seen you around, sparing people left and right. i really appreciate the non-violent approach. anyway, have you seen my brother anywhere? this is usually when he asks me to taste test his latest take on spaghetti.
