People thought their taxes went up under Trump because the IRS changed withholding amounts resulting in smaller returns at tax time because they were getting more in their paychecks. The same thing could easily happen to Biden because of the child tax credit advance payments.

4 people in the village committed voter fraud. Probably more we don’t know about over a year later. Would democrats voting rights bill make this number higher or lower? There has to be a way to decrease voter fraud while increasing access. That is how democracy will be preserved.

No Republican is going to cross the aisle to help Dems push through a partisan voting rights bills at the federal level to counter partisan voting rights bills at the state level. People drink way too much blue and red koolaid when grape is a great flavor

McConnell could have nuked the legislative filibuster in 2017 to push through Trump’s agenda. He didn’t. He did eat the turkey Reid started carving for nominees and now people complain about SCOTUS seats. History tends to repeat but if it doesn’t, it at least rhymes.

Democrats should be careful with student debt cancellation. It’s less of a partisan issue and has the potential to disenfranchise many in their own base who will not benefit.

Student debt cancellation by executive order is likely to be ruled unconstitutional by SCOTUS. Timing is critical here. Is the bigger benefit having it struck down before or after the election when you want to energize a base?

Schumer needs to take a page out of Pelosi’s book and stop these show votes. We know where the senators stand. He just puts his inability to lead on the record time and time again.

Changing the filibuster to reform firearm laws is pretty short sighted unless you’re ok with what the other party is going to do when it’s their turn. Think 50 state permit less concealed carry and an inability for states to ban assault weapons. They’d love to pass it all.

Biden should not endorse or talk about a gas tax holiday. He can’t deliver. It only hurts him and Dems to discuss it as they could pass it with 50 votes through reconciliation. They have the power but aren’t going to use it.

People telling secondhand stories under oath is kind of meaningless. She has nothing to fear if the story is debunked. She didn’t say it happened. She said she heard it happened. We do not know what actually happened despite oaths being taken. It adds no real credibility here

If Republicans pick up 4 senate seats in 2022, they’ll be at 54. Democrats have to defend 23 seats in 2024, opening the door for Republicans to get to 60 in the senate. Democrats’ policies created the potential for a filibuster proof majority. They need to pivot now.

Democrats should continue their assault on Elon Musk. Trump’s team sees it and likely loves it. I doubt it actually bothers Trump when it’s clear the strategy is to try to drive a wedge between Musk and Trump. Instead the message is Democrats view Musk as a threat, push harder.
