Did a gig at a festival yesterday. It was running behind so we didn’t go on stage on time. The band after us started setting up their keys on stage whilst we were still performing AND I’d cut our set short to help the timing issue. Is it acceptable that I’m still raging?

You know what… for my forthcoming release I’ve sought out 70+ music journalists (most freelance) and wrote them personal pitches. I’ve had 5 replies and even if it’s a no, the lest they could do is reply. We’re all part of the same ecosystem and it’s really disappointing.

A lot of people tell me not to bother with music journalists. I grew up reading NME and still have a list of sites I visit every Sunday to catch-up with whatever I’ve missed. Why does everything have to be about numbers, metrics and successes these days?!
