Today on IBCLC day I got to step away from my office and spend my time at our drop in breastfeeding group at the hospital. In-person infant feeding support gives me so much satisfaction. Becoming a LC has been a career highlight for me. #happyIBCLCday

Today my 7 year old had an injury at school and they called me on the office phone. I asked to talk to her. The kid had no idea what to do with an office phone. I could hear her fumbling asking, ‘what do I do with this? Where do I talk? Hello?’.

In line at BC Ferries with every single other person. Thanking my past self for making reservations. Some people were here at noon and are waiting for the 3 pm ferry.

Two adults waited 40+ minute in the cafeteria line to find out when they ordered that 1) you can’t bring your beer out of the cafeteria and 2) you have to order food with your alcohol. They both left the line. After 40 mins I’d belike, I’ll get some fries with that wine please’.

I took my husband out for Father’s Day brunch. Just the two of us. Was very calm and civil. Came home and the kids had made him cookies.

Hey Vancouver! Make sure to utilize the reservation system for pool tickets this summer. Last night we got in for a lovely evening swim with our reservations. The very long line of drop ins did not. Not enough life guards on the shift. It did make for a lovely empty pool!
