16 January 1938 | Dutch Jewish boy Salomon Harschel was born in The Hague. In October 1942 he was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber after selection. His mother Engeltje Harschel-Barendse was with him.

Today, Dutch Minister of Justice and Security, Dilan Yesilgöz - Zegerius from Ministerie van Justitie en Veiligheid visited the #PeacePalace. She delivered the closing remarks for the IHRD-The Hague and visited the Permanent Court of Arbitration as well as the Peace Palace Library. Working on #internationallaw was central to this visit.
