Earlier today, our members worked to rescue a trapped worker suspended several floors up in the 800 Block of N Pitt Street in North Old Town.

Engine 201 and Truck 205 responded first due to the 500 Block of Pendleton Street in Old Town. Companies arrived finding fire showing from a detached row of garages behind the home. Fire was quickly extinguished.

Second Alarm Fire- 400 Block of N Armistead Street. Engine 208 arrived with fire showing from 3 floors of a garden apartment building. Truck 208 making multiple rescues. Battalion 212 with the command.

Working fire- Engine and Tower 203 arriving with fire showing in the 3400 Block of Martha Custis Avenue.

The Alexandria Fire Department responded to a two-alarm structure fire at a 15-story condominium at 6301 Stevenson Avenue at approximately 2:47pm. Two residents and three firefighters were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Small Fire- Engine 209 and surrounding units are operating on a commercial building fire in the 100 Block of East Glebe Road. Companies found a fryer on fire with extension to the walls and exhaust systems.

Working Fire- E204 and surrounding companies are operating on a working structure fire in the 1300 Block of Chetworth Court. Companies have a shed on fire with extension to surrounding homes.

Engine 209 arriving with fire showing from the second floor of a town house in the unit block of Kennedy Street in Del Ray. Crews located and extinguished a bathroom on fire. Assignment scaling back. Expect delays on Mount Vernon Avenue.

Overnight Engine 204 and Truck 205 arrived first due to the 100 Block of South Saint Asaph Street with smoke coming from a 2 story commercial building. Crews located and extinguished a fire on the first floor.

Working fire- 200 Block of S Reynolds Street. Crews had a bedroom on fire in an apartment of a med rise apartment building. Fire knocked, 1 cat removed by FD personnel.
