🔮⚗️💫 This book is a veritable treasure! Unlike many other publications on the topic, it is written by one of the foremost experts on Western Esotericism, Peter Forshaw. The text is rich but accessible, and the illustrations, in full colour, are dissected in fascinating detail.
You can probably tell from these pictures that Dr. Briana Jackson kindly took of me during my CREgyptology keynote lecture how delighted I was to share the exciting work I’m doing on a fascinating set of ancient astral papyri and ostraca. So many insights await to be discovered! 🪐📜🔍
At CREgyptology this afternoon? Stop by the poster session if you fancy a chat about mummy portraits! 🤓
Fascinating keynote lecture at CREgyptology by Dr Margaret Maitland, with tonnes of food for thought on colonialism, the display and presentation of museum collections, and the visibility of traditionally ignored ancient and modern Egyptians!
Very clever design of the CREgyptology conference swag! 𓆣𓆣𓆣𓆣 for Liverpool! 😄 #egyptology #liverpool Archaeology, Classics & Egyptology at Liv Uni
Two brilliant keynote speakers today at CREgyptology: Dr Marina Escolano-Poveda 🌊🪔 on the astral sciences in #Egypt and Dr Margaret Maitland on the untold stories and colonial legacies in #Egyptology.
A fantastic session on hieroglyphs in video games by Dr. Briana Jackson ! A really fun look at how media uses hieroglyphic text and the balance to be struck between accuracy and education 🎮
Wonderful lectures from current and former Archaeology, Classics & Egyptology at Liv Uni students at CREgyptology! Joel Sams, Lynsey Shale, and 🦇mka (she/her)🦇 presented their fascinating work on the transmission of the spells of the BoD, the wandering womb in Egypt, and Egypt and Queen Victoria, respectively!
Huge congratulations, Beatriz Marín-Aguilera and Stefan Hanß!!! 👏👏👏
