We recently had a design industry panel event featuring Mark Harniss from UW Rehabilitation Medicine and Brennen Johnston from WATAP. We learned about the accessible design and assistive technology fields. Thank you so much to our wonderful panelists and all those who attended!

Recently we had our Spring Community Meeting, where we recapped the progress of our Design Teams and GoBabyGo and announced up coming events. We also tested out a new activity, where participants made 15 adapted switches using few materials. Thank you to everyone who attended!

Last week we held our first toy adaptation of Spring Quarter! Our 15 attendees adapted toys that were freshly introduced to our workshops including various transparent gear vehicles and a puppy bubble machine. Thank you to everyone who attended for their amazing contributions!

We recently had a toy adaptation event where attendees successfully adapted eight toys! Thank you to everyone who attended! There will be another toy adaptation workshop next Wednesday, May 8. RSVP link is in bio, we hope to see you there!

At last week’s toy adaptation workshop attendees got to work on some exciting new toys including a tractor bubble machine, a Simon memory game, and two ball pitchers! Thanks to all who attended, and we hope to see you next Wednesday 5/22! RSVP link is in bio.

We recently tabled at the Engineering Discovery Days where we hosted a super fun spin-art interactive activity for students! It was great meeting so many new faces and sharing some of our favorite adapted toys — thank you to everyone who stopped by!

Pt. 1 Our 6 design teams presented their final prototypes and posters at the CREATE Showcase on May 20th! During the poster walk, the teams had the opportunity to demonstrate their prototyping process to the greater Seattle Community.

Pt 2. This showcase was the final milestone for the design program this year – congratulations to all of our teams! We will be posting the posters tomorrow so stay tuned!
