We should have been paying a lot more attention to how to adapt nursing homes to deal with COVID. As Vince Mor pointed out, researchers are quite literally going to do a postmortem on this when the administrative data are available, and the numbers are going to be staggering.

Kicked off #NursesWeek with the National Guard and VDH for mask fit testing and Covid point prevalence testing. I’m thankful Virginia has the resources to provide these now, but next year I’d be happy celebrating the week with a donut or piece of cake, minus the pandemic.

Today while I voted, I thought about the hurt in this country, how I’m still being asked to reuse PPE even during a Covid outbreak, how my patients have been quarantined from being with their families since March, & my kids & their teachers learning virtually. Please #Vote
