Watched “My Old Ass” and I enjoyed it so much. A coming-of-age comedy/drama with some VERY emotional and heartwarming scenes. I love Aubrey Plaza but it was Maisy Stella who truly stole the show. I highly recommend (Amazon Prime).
The more ads I see for the new Superman, the more excited I get. I love Henry Cavill, but I’m so ready for a DC universe without Zack Snyder attached to it.
I saw an ad that described “Friendship” as “I Love You, Man” for sickos and that’s spot on. I laughed a lot and I felt uncomfortable at times too. Paul Rudd and Tim Robinson knocked it out the park.
Wow. No spoilers but Donkey Kong Bananza had one of the greatest final boss fights and endings I’ve ever seen in a video game. It was everything I wanted. An absolute masterpiece from Nintendo.
Happy Gilmore 2 was fun for what it was. It doesn’t come close to the levels of the first one but there was enough silliness and fun moments to make it worth a watch.
Materialists was probably my most disappointing movie of the year. What could have been a fantastic movie from A24 with Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal ended up being a rather dull experience from start to finish. I’m not really sure what direction they were going for.
Not a huge horror movie guy but “Together” was an enjoyable, terrifying, and well-written film that’s a big metaphor for codependency.
And “Talk to Me” was an unpredictable and chilling with some scenes so unsettling I almost had to look away.
Both are well worth a watch 👍🏼👍🏼
