You can now see how Hull looked in the 1850s! The National Library of Scotland have recently added the OS 1st Edition Mapping for cities to their georeferenced map library. So, you can now zoom in on Hull’s Citadel as it was surveyed in the 1850’s. loom.ly/02GKy0Q

As excavations continue, so do new discoveries on site! Here, we've uncovered a chamber not on the original drawings, which will now create an additional interpretation area. The stained wall areas show the height of earth & rubble that have hidden it since the Blitz in 1941!
