For #InternationalDogDay 🐶 this incredible mosaic floor from Alexandria with the depiction of a dog seated next to a gilded vessel. This Ptolemaic mosaic was made using the opus vermiculatum technique (small, closely set tesserae). Bibliotheca Alexandrina Antiquities Museum.
