it’s funny how, as kids, we were taught to seek validation to prove we’ve achieved something & now we overlook all the effort we’ve given simply because no one seems to care. even appreciation from ourselves doesn’t feel like enough because of those internalized beliefs.

the thought that youth never comes back hits me so deeply, like suddenly I'm aware of how precious every moment is and how quickly it fades into memory, and all I want is to hold onto this beautiful, fleeting version of my life and live it fully before it slips out of my hands.

maybe some things aren’t meant to come back, only to be remembered. not everything that once felt close is meant to stay, and not every silence needs an answer. some memories remain, not to hurt, but to remind us of what once felt real. and after all, life must go on.

it hurts. it really does. knowing that the voice i once cherished the most is no longer mine to hear. it probably belongs to someone else now, a lullaby they fall asleep to while i’m left trying to forget how it ever sounded.
