Today is the first anniversary of the last day of class for the 2019-2020 school year. When the Class of 2020 left that day they didn't know they'd never be back. It hasn't been easy, but we're very proud of the strength all our #Huskies, past and present, have shown since then.

There will be no school for students at HCS tomorrow.

This afternoon our own Mr. Everett was presented an NBTA excellence in teaching award by Beth Henderson from the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development for his leadership of the HCS ESAP program. Congratulations Mr. Everett on this well deserved recognition!

Our Leadership 12 and ESAP @ HCS classes started the day by cleaning up trash along the river and roads. What a beautiful morning to be outside!

Congratulations to our own George Anderson and all the recipients of the 2021 TurnAround Award. Special thanks to Craig Manufacturing for recognizing the hard work done and progress made by each of these students.

This morning the HCS class of 2021 gathered to plant a tree in memory of their classmate Britney Brewster. Britney’s life and her memory have had a huge impact on this class. She and her family will be on their minds and in their hearts as they graduate this month.

Heads up, #Huskies! HCS will dismiss early today.

Due to the continued high heat warnings tomorrow, Tuesday June 8, will be an early dismissal. Busses will load as they did Monday. High school students will follow an adjusted schedule of P1, followed by P4 and P5 prior to dismissal. Please dress for the heat and stay hydrated.
