Woke up in a panic this morning because I had a dream I’d missed a deadline for a 5,000 word assignment that was worth a huge portion of my final grade... And then I remembered I left university seven months ago 🤦🏽‍♀️ Some things never change I guess!

Officially one year since I handed in my The University of Sheffield masters dissertation exploring ice dynamics and debris distribution in two glaciers in the Himalaya. How time flies! ❄️

Really appreciated being invited to share my experience as an ethnic minority student at Sheffield Hallam University by SHU - DNBE. Knowing the department is making efforts to be more diverse + inclusive is great news and very needed! Thanks for having me Dr Natasha Dowey Lukedes

Shannon, Zainab and Danny all gave excellent talks today- sparked a lot of discussions and recommendations. Very grateful to each of them for their time and energy. Events like this, highlighting the issues,cannot come to nothing- as a department,we need to turn talk into action.

I’ve definitely become the master of spending two hours finding a way to automate data entry that would have taken me 45 minutes to do manually. On the upside though, I know finally understand and can code my own power queries in excel so… small wins.

I’m the worst for calling someone for help with a problem on teams and then half way through explaining the problem realising I know how to fix it and having to say “oh sorry! I think I’ve worked it out - thanks for the help though! 😅”

Crossed the graduation stage for (probably!) the last time yesterday for my MSc in Polar and Alpine Change. So grateful for everyone I’ve met at The University of Sheffield and the fantastic Uni of Sheffield PAC Class of 2020. Feels like forever ago now but we finally made it - pandemic and all! 🎓✨
