Shaking his hand , he soon moved to simply wrap an arm around Stiles before lifting him , carrying him to their bedroom.

" To bed. " When they reached the mattress , he gently set him down against it , moving to drape blanket over his form.

Derek grabbed his hands , eying him , clearly concerned. " Stiles . . . " He held them for a moment , " I'll lay down with you , but you need to ( sleep ). "

" . . . you're an idiot. " But he sighed , shaking his head before he hopped over him and onto the bed , arms snaking around him.

" No. " A simple spoken disagreement. And then as he was attempting to take his shirt off , Derek's head tilted. " Why? ( You're ) wearing a shirt. " Though the wolf did find it uncomfortable on his own person.

His lips pursed together, frown bringing brows to furrow as well. While he was pleased with the result , the snark afterward was less than amusing. He removed his own shirt before tugging him into his arms. Hopefully it’d be enough to appease him. “ you’re cranky.”

Groaning at the contact , air successfully taken from him , he stumbled backwards , eyes clenching closed. Could have been worse.

" No. " He wasn't certain if he should be upset or proud. Upset because . . . that clearly hurt , but proud because he knew Stiles could take care of himself. " I thought you heard me come in. "

" I wasn't being stealthy. " He huffed , frowning at him as he turned away. " You're cooking? " and he's ignoring the bell comment.

" That ( was ) the plan until you attacked me. " He spoke half joking , brows furrowing when he threw the noddle at the wall. Of course he did. Arms moved to wind around him , this time a bit more cautiously before he kissed his cheek , lips lingering on his jaw.

" You can . . . " He still eyed him suspiciously , however , releasing him as he took a step back. Derek was already grabbing a towel to remove the mess off the wall ; Stiles had ( cooked ) after all. " . . . Is there sauce to go with this? "

“ Don’t get defensive. I actually like buttered noodles—.” Which meant he wasn’t truly complaining about it, not really. But it would have been slightly humorous.

" . . . pierogis? " Derek's brows arched , " Do you know how to make them? " Well, considering he'd just mentioned it and his ( mother ), he could only assume that he'd been taught at some point. The wolf shrugged, " I haven't checked the fridge in awhile. "
