This is wild/wrong/horrible/etc... Billion-dollar companies like Follett and EBSCO are renting e-books to schools each year for $27 per book PER student. Librarians quoted in a 2019 study were spending as much as 42 percent of their annual budgets on e-books (pre-COVID)! 🤯😡
