Some good news there on the Tapered Annual Allowance. I heard the Threshold Income and Adjusted Income are to be increased to £200,000 and £240,000 respectively. The new Tapered Annual Allowance is reduced from £10,000 to £4,000.

You don't hire a financial planner because your stupid, or incapable (quite the opposite)...you hire one because they are not you. We all have blind spots, and by definition, you can't see your own.

Freezing the Lifetime Allowance until 2026 may seem innocuous but it will drive those close to the limits to retire a bit earlier. Losing more senior doctors in the NHS for the next few years would be a good example of an unintended consequence.
